Abstract
The absolute thermoelectric power of polycrystalline indium was measured between 42 and 300 K. It was found to be positive in this temperature range with a pronounced phonon drag peak at 15 K. The results are in sharp contrast to those for A1 and add experimental evidence to the view that in In there is a considerable departure from the nearly free electron behaviour. Keywords
