Abstract
Tolbutamide (Orinase), given intravenously to normal and diabetic patients caused a reduction of non-esterified fatty acid concentration only in those subjects who responded with hypoglycemia. Diabetics responding to tolbutamide with a prolonged depression of blood sugar showed a comparably sustained reduction of the fatty acid fraction. Keywords
