Hämoglobine, XXXIV. „Hämoglobin Heide“, ein neues embryonales Hämoglobin N-terminale Sequenz der δ-Ketten

Abstract
A new embryonic Hb is described. Erythrocytes of pig embryos were lysed. The lysate was analyzed by gel-electrophoresis and the Hb were separated on DEAE-Sephacel. The Hb fractions were characterized by sequence analysis. A new Hb chain.sbd..vtheta.-chain.sbd.not yet described was also found. The primary structure of the .vtheta.-chains is similar to that of the .epsilon.-chains. There are 3 differences in the 1st 30 residues. These .vtheta.-chains were associated with .zeta.-like chains and therefore AHb of the type X2/.vtheta.2 is proposed. The name Hb Heide is suggested for this new embryonic Hb. Four different globin genes (.alpha.-, .epsilon.-, .zeta.- and .vtheta.-genes) and 3 different Hb (Gower I, Gower II and Hb Heide) were detected in the embryonic respiration of mammals.
