Abstract
Contrary to previous findings, graffiti collected from a small southwestern college at national election time, 1968, did not show a preponderance of items related to important social issues, the election and Vietnam. The graffiti likewise were not specific to building use. More research is suggested before graffiti are considered valid unobtrusive measures of the social and political climate. Keywords
