Abstract
The theoretic treatment of elastic electron-helium scattering is discussed in the context of the many-body method introduced by Schneider et al. (1970). An iterative equation for the optical potential is derived and the model obtained by using the first iterative solution is developed, paying close attention to similarities and differences with other theoretical models. A comparison with the results of other methods is illustrated at incident energies of 30, 50, 100 and 200 eV.Keywords
