Abstract
Angular correlations between and x rays in , , and were measured. The x rays of Cm, Pu, and Eu were obtained from radioactive sources of 352-yr , 32-yr , and 242-day , respectively. The x rays were detected with a cooled Ge(Li) spectrometer with energy resolution of 500-eV full width at half-maximum (FWHM) at 122 keV. The x rays were detected with a cooled Si(Li) spectrometer with energy resolution of 170 eV (FWHM) at 5.9 keV. Several corrections to the angular-correlation coefficients were made including a correction for the presence of silicon x-ray escape peaks. The corrected angular-correlation coefficients are:
