Abstract
The authors consider toppling distributions for the Abelian sandpile model in one dimension. They study the avalanche mass and duration distributions in the thermodynamic limit. They also investigate their dependence on the seeding distribution, which describes how sand is dropped. None of the models shows criticality. Keywords
