Abstract
Interruption of the parasympathetic pathways to the parotid gland by destruction of the tympanic plexus, has been shown to produce parotid atrophy in rabbits. The treatment of a refractory case of bilateral benign chronic parotitis by the application of this technique is presented. A good result was obtained and the patient has been symptom-free for 14 months. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
