Human Infection withIsospora belli: Report of a Case in Florida

Abstract
The authors present the history and laboratory findings of the first case of I. belli infection in Florida. A discussion is given of the possible relationship to reservoir hosts and also the speciation of the organism. A description of the cyst stage with measurements and an accompanying photomicrograph are given, and an illustration of the postulated life cycle.
