Abstract
It is shown that the recent measurements of the analyzing power A in high-energy p-p elastic scattering can be most conveniently interpreted in the optimal transversity frame. The deviations from A=0 predicted by QCD are parametrized and a step-by-step experimental program is outlined for the further pinpointing of the causes of the deviations. Keywords
