Abstract
By careful and speedy work it has been possible to isolate the chlorophyll components a and b in such a pure and intact state that, under suitable conditions, they precipitate in well‐formed crystals. The crystalline substances so obtained meet all criteria for pure chlorophylls a and b. The goal of crystallising natural chlorophylls a and b has thus been reached after several decades of endeavour.Whereas the spectra of pure chlorophylls a and b in the visible have been previously published, this is, to the best of our knowledge, the first time that their infrared spectra are reported. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
