A bilayer of Wigner crystal in the harmonic approximation

Abstract
Using the harmonic approximation as a model to describe a bilayer of a Wigner crystal in wide quantum wells, we calculate the ground state properties and the phonon spectrum of this system as a function of the density and layer separation. A fitting formula is given for the ground state energy.Keywords
