Abstract
A patient with sudden onset of ascites and hepatosplenomegaly made a complete recovery after vitamin A was withdrawn. Fluorescence microscopy on embedded tissue provided a simple method of demonstrating the accumulation of fat storage (Ito) cells in the liver.Keywords
