Abstract
The use of commercially produced fibrin glue, successfully used for many surgical procedures in European operating theatres, is prohibited in the USA due to FDA regulations. In this presentation the authors demonstrate the extraction of fibrinogen from the patient's own blood, thus avoiding possible viral contamination and allergenisity. Clinical and experimental applications are demonstrated. Keywords
