Abstract
We show that a Regge pole plus destructive cut imitates a direct-channel Regge pole, the interpretation of which is well known in classical scattering theory. The rotating Regge part is "dual" to scattering from the edge of an interaction region of radius 0.8 F. A new interpretation is given for Schmid loops. Keywords
