Abstract
We present the first case, to our knowledge, of a patient with a CT diagnosis of acute appendicitis strangulated in a femoral hernia, a known but very rare entity. CT features of acute appendicitis within the hernia established the correct diagnosis. The pathological findings confirmed the diagnosis of this rare location of appendicitis. Keywords
