Abstract
Savanna woodland of Combretum nigricans var. elliotti displays ripple-like patterns on aerial photographs. Unlike the better known arcs and stripes of Somalia and the Sudan they occur in sandy soils with an annual rainfall of about 750 mm. They may reflect the orginal structure of the dunes from which the parent material was probably derived. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
