Role of environmental clues in temporal lobe epilepsy

Abstract
Environmental clues play a role in the content of psychomotor seizures, in at least some patients. The most important role of environmental clues is the prevention of injury. A patient with sensory deprivation and temporal lobe seizures is, indeed, accident prone during the course of psychomotor seizures. The content of psychomotor seizure may be in accord with or at variance with the environment and, in the absence of environmental clues, is unrelated to the environment.
