Abstract
When thrombin acts on a soln. of fibrinogen, free from other proteins, all the fibrinogen N appears as fibrin N. Due to the solubility of fibrin, however, as much as 10% of the fibrin N may be present in the supernatant. Purified thrombin preps. have a marked fibrinolytic action. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
