Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify what high school students do not know about the cardiovascular system, its diseases and their prevention. A total of 135 questions were administered to 3,000 students around the country. Student responses were analyzed by general knowledge area, taxonomic levels of knowledge required to answer and response patterns within individual test items. The results are discussed in terms of guidelines for health education. Keywords
