Abstract
Both Lewis and Belliss (1984) andJenkins (1987) emphasise the existence of more than one unconformity in the Oligocene of North Otago and South Canterbury. There is some controversy over the details, so it may be helpful to state the situation as I see it, and to darify some points made in both their contributions.Keywords
