Abstract
A fluorimetric method for riboflavin in biologic materials based on the method of Najjar was modified by introduction of a test for specificity, which was measured by determining the destruction curve of the fluorescent material. Purification by absorption on Florisil did not increase specificity. High concns. of KMnO4 rapidly destroy riboflavin. Photochemical destruction of riboflavin is no simple exponential function of time but is dependent on concn. of decomposition products. Keywords
