Abstract
(24 C14) cholanic acid and (24 C14-desoxycholanic acid injected intraperitoneally in rats are excreted chiefly in bile, the cholanic acid coupled with taurine, and the desoxy compound over 50% cleaved into cholanic acid. The importance of the findings for synthesis of cholanic acid from cholesterol is discussed. Keywords
