Abstract
The absorption by Qn(TCNQ)2 has been studied between 50 and 4000 cm−1 at temperatures from 4 K to 300 K. Infrared activity of the ag phonon modes of TCNQ− is observed, implying that a Peierls distortion occurs in this large-U system. Keywords
