Abstract
A case of disseminated coccidioidomycosis was diagnosed from a prostatic biopsy. Patients with sterile pyuria, prostatic nodules or symptoms of prostatitis who have lived in or traveled through an endemic area need careful evaluation of the lower genitourinary tract. Immunological treatment with a transfer factor currently is under investigation. Miconazole may offer a promise for future treatment of this fungal infection and for patients with impaired renal function. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
