Abstract
Ten patients diagnosed clinically and confirmed by ecg as having myocardial infarction were examined daily for fibrinolytic activity for 28 days. There was a depression of fibrinolytic activity which only reverted to normal after 8 days when compared with 10 controls. It is not possible to put a final interpretation on this phenomenon but it could possibly represent a change in the blood that has favored the occurrence of myocardial infarction. Keywords
