Abstract
Inclusive production of the system has been studied in p interactions at 11 GeV/c using the large-aperture solenoid spectrometer at SLAC. We have isolated a sample of 3837 K¯ and 3019 events. A Dalitz-plot analysis shows that the major quasi-two-body channel in the KK¯π system is (K¯+c.c.). The data have been subjected to a partial-wave analysis as a function of KK¯π mass. In the lower-mass region (1.2–1.8 GeV) the KK¯π system is dominated by the (K¯+c.c) amplitudes. No evidence is found for δ(980)π production in any state. No clear KK¯π resonant behavior is demanded by the data.
