Abstract
A Lagrangian density is constructed for a multifluid system. Maxwell's equations and flow equations for inviscid, barotropic, and infinitely electrical conducting fluid are obtained from the Lagrangian density through the use of the well-known Lagrange-Euler equations. Flow equations for plasma consisting of electrons and ions are derived from the equations of different species. In this way, in addition to the usual equations of momentum and continuity, a generalized Ohm's law is also obtained. Keywords
