ATYPICAL RESPONSE OF THE RABBIT TO DESOXYCORTICOSTERONE ACETATE

Abstract
In contrast to the dogs previously treated, rabbits showed significant increase in the urinary excretion of water or Cl when given injs. of DOCA. Two rabbits injected with DOCA over a period of months maintained the same wt. but gained nearly 50% in wt. after treatment, was discontinued. The injs. produced no alteration in blood pressure, edema or other toxic effect.
