Sum capacity of the multiple antenna Gaussian broadcast channel

Abstract

We characterize the sum capacity of the multiple transmit antenna Gaussian broadcast channel by showing that the existing inner bound of Marton (1979) and the existing upper bound of Sato (1978) are tight for this channel.
