Abstract
The ratio of chloride to bromide is similar in serum and in liver, muscle and skin at 6, 24 and 72 hr. after intraperitioneal injection of NaBr in rats. Body chloride is approximately retained bromide multiplied by the ratio of chloride to bromide in serum. Measurements of bromide space following a single injection of bromide become erroneous owing to failure to measure loss after 3 days. Keywords
