Growth of Superconductive Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox Film by Liquid Phase Epitaxy

Abstract
The growth of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O film by means of liquid phase epitaxy was studied in detail using KCl as a flux. The “2212” phase was difficult to grow on the MgO substrate by means of this method. However, stable growth of the “2212” phase was obtained when the GGG (gadolinium gallium garnet) substrate was used. The film showed high c-axis orientation and good superconductive characteristics.
