Abstract
The combined treatment with .beta.-propiolactone and UV rays described for the sterilization of HBSAg[hepatitis B surface antigen]-positive sera does not interfere with the purification procedures for the production of HBSAg. The immunogenicity of the HBSAg is retained.Keywords
