Experimental search for nonstrange narrow isovector dibaryons

Abstract
Missing mass spectra from He3(p,d)X at Tp=0.75 GeV (θlab=22°, 32°, and 40°) and Tp=0.925 GeV (θlab=30° and 40°) have been measured. Missing mass spectra from p(3He,d)X at T3He=2.7 GeV and θlab=18° have also been measured. The experiments have been carried out with a high missing mass resolution in order to detect possible narrow structures associated with B=2, T=1 quantum numbers. Such structures have been seen, with the following masses and widths: Mx=2.240±0.005, (Γ1/2≊0.016±0.003) GeV, Mx=2.192±0.003, (Γ1/2≊0.025±0.006) GeV, and Mx=2.121±0.003, (Γ1/2≊0.025±0.002) GeV. A broad structure with mass close to Mx≊2.17 GeV, the mass of free N+Δ, and a width close to Γ1/2≊0.1 GeV is observed. The observed peaks might be related to six-quark states.
