Abstract
Botryodiplodin, a mycotoxin isolated from a strain of Penicillium roqueforti , induces DNA-protein cross-links in mammalian cells. This action depends upon the presence of the hydroxyl group at the position 2 of the molecule. The mechanism involved in the formation of cross-linkings is discussed. Keywords
