Abstract
In atomic scattering calculations, certain difficulties stem from the use of inexact wavefunctions. These can be avoided, provided the projectile is distinguishable from the atomic electrons, by using modified forms of the atomic hamiltonian. A connection with the positron scattering work of Peterkop and Rabik (ibid., Vol. 4, 1440, 1971) is established. Keywords
