Abstract
The construction and performance of apparatus for the measurement of the magnetization of thin films, by means of the Faraday effect, is described. (I, H) loops can be displayed on an oscilloscope, and continuous readings of the magnetization, as a function of time and applied field, recorded. The advantages of this method for the study of Barkhausen discontinuities, magnetic viscosity and creep are described.Keywords
