Abstract
Anisotropic superconductivity is investigated for layered structures. An increase of interlayer hopping drastically reduces the transition temperature. The coupling between Cooper pairs on adjacent layers seems to be of primary importance in such systems whereas the interlayer Cooper pairs play a rather marginal role. The uniaxial pressure experiments could help to elucidate the nature of this interlayer coupling. Keywords
