Abstract
The respiration of rose petals was examined in relation to growth and development. A respiratory pattern was found with development, which consisted of a respiratory rise when the petal rapidly expands, a respiratory peak with full development of the petal, and a respiratory drop following full development of the petal. Dinitrophenol stimulated the respiration of rose petals to a greater extent before the respiratory rise than afterward. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
