Acetylcholine Esterase in Thrombocytes of Rat Blood

Abstract
Thrombocytes were separated from citrated rat blood by centrifugation and the plasma removed by saline washing. The "lysed" thrombocytes exhibited typical acetylcholine esterase activity, indicating that part of this enzyme activity in whole rat blood is derived from platelets.
