Abstract
The intranuclear localization of 2 DNA-dependent RNA polymerase reactions was investigated by high-resolution autoradiography. The Mg2+-activated RNA polymerase reaction that synthesizes ribosomal RNA occurs primarily in the nucleolus. The Mn2+-(NH4)2SO4-activated RNA polymerase reaction that synthesizes a more DNA-like RNA occurs primarily on the chromosomes in the extranucleolar region. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
