Abstract
Nitro-imidazole (Flagyl) [metronidazole] was ineffective in the treatment of experimental syphilis in rabbits in the currently recommended dose and 150 times this dose. In vitro study revealed nitro-imidazole to show no bactericidal action on 4 strains Neisseria gonorrhea and slight bacteriostatic effect in one aditional strain. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
