Abstract
The authors report novel power splitters using angled multimode interference couplers, that allow free selection of the power splitting ratios. Realised in silica on silicon throughout the 1.55 µm wavelength range, the splitters permit polarisation independent control of the power splitting ratios to within ±2%.Keywords
