Abstract
By combining a paper electrophoretic and histochemical technique a method was obtained for ascertaining the relative activity and the electrophoretic properties of the acid prostate phosphatase. It was demonstrated that in benign prostatic hyperthropy the enzyme activity was considerably diminished. It was also ascertained that the enzyme, which is a globulin, has the same migratory characteristics as the blood serum alpha-globulins.Keywords
