Abstract
The mechanism for the Gif system of selective oxidation of hydrocarbons has been studied using the GC-MS technique. Several observations reported here concerning bipyridines, pyridine-hydrocarbon coupling products and oxidation products themselves contribute to the elaboration of the proposed mechanism. Keywords
