Abstract
New de Haas-van Alphen data on the metallic fluorite compounds Au and Au are presented. Several new frequency branches have been observed, including two in Au, which are tentatively ascribed to electrons in the fifth zone. The results are in general agreement with recent theoretical calculations by Switendick, which predict that the second zone is full in Au.
