V51(He3,d)Cr52Reaction and Shell-Model Calculations forCr52

Abstract
Angular distributions of the (He3,d) reaction on V51 have been measured at 10.48 MeV with a counter telescope. Spectroscopic factors and l values of Cr52 levels up to 7 MeV excitation energy were obtained by comparing the data with distorted-wave Born-approximation theory. Some unreported levels excited by l=1 proton transfer have been observed. Shell-model calculations predict well the 1f72 spectroscopic strength, but fail in reproducing the observed 2p32 strength.
