Abstract
A discussion is given of density expansions for transport coefficients for moderately dense gases. The arguments for the occurrence of logarithms of the density n in this expansion are reviewed, and are verified by explicit calculations. We present a relatively simple method for computing part of the coefficient of the first lnn term appearing in these expansions, and compare our results with the computer results obtained by Pomeau et al. for hard-sphere molecules. Keywords
