Abstract
Using finite-size scaling, we have calculated the localization-delocalization phase diagrams for electronic wave functions in different disordered polymeric systems. The disorder considered here simulates finite polymer chain lengths, breaks in the conjugation, and disorder in an external potential. It is shown that a system of interacting chains, even at rather weak interchain interactions, allows for enough flexibility for the scattered waves to avoid dephasing and localization. Localization and the metal-insulator transition in highly conducting polymers are discussed in view of these results. Keywords
