Abstract
Raman spectra of a vibrating rotator are computed for a variety of hindering fields of cubic symmetry. Results are displayed for three types of hindering potentials localizing the rotator gradually in -, -, or -oriented minimum wells, respectively. For strong hindering potentials the spectra merge into those derived from the appropriate "tunneling model."Keywords
